Day 1: Drive from Your Hotel to Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo National Park is one of Uganda’s smallest yet most stunning national parks. Located in the western region of Uganda, this park covers an area of 370 square kilometers and is home to a rich diversity of wildlife, including zebras, impalas, buffaloes, elands, hippos, and crocodiles. The park is also a birding paradise, boasting over 350 bird species. Its unique mixture of wetlands, lakes, savannahs, and acacia woodlands makes it a perfect destination for nature lovers. Your adventure begins early in the morning as we pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. En route, we will stop at the Equator, where you can take memorable photos and witness the water experiment that demonstrates the hemispheric division. Afterward, we proceed with our journey to Lake Mburo National Park.

Upon arrival, we check in at Kigarama Wilderness Lodge, where you will enjoy a delicious meal before relaxing in your accommodation.

Later in the evening, we embark on an exciting game drive through the park. The golden hours of dusk provide an excellent opportunity to spot various wildlife, especially nocturnal animals as they begin their hunt. The scenic landscapes, combined with the sight of grazing zebras and towering giraffes, make for a magical experience. After the drive, we return to Kigarama Wilderness Lodge for dinner and a restful night.

Day 2: Nature Walk & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy a hot cup of coffee before heading out for a guided nature walk in the park. This immersive experience allows you to explore the park on foot, getting up close with wildlife and learning about the flora and fauna from an expert ranger. The walk provides a unique perspective, different from traditional game drives.

After the walk, we return to the lodge for a full breakfast before checking out and setting off for Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After a scenic drive through Uganda’s countryside, we arrive at Buffalo Lodge, where we check in and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Later in the afternoon, we embark on a thrilling evening game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s second-largest national park, covering approximately 1,978 square kilometers. It is renowned for its incredible biodiversity, hosting over 95 mammal species and more than 600 bird species. The park is home to the famous tree-climbing lions of the Ishasha sector, large herds of elephants, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, and various antelope species. The diverse ecosystems, including savannah, forests, wetlands, and lakes, make it one of the best wildlife destinations in Africa.

As we explore the park, expect to see a variety of animals and enjoy the breathtaking scenery that includes rolling hills, crater lakes, and expansive grasslands. After the game drive, we return to Buffalo Lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast, we set out for another exciting game drive in the park. The morning hours provide the best chances to spot big cats such as lions and leopards as they are most active during this time. You will also see large herds of buffaloes, elephants, and numerous antelopes roaming freely across the park.

Following an eventful morning, we return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch. In the afternoon, we head to the Kazinga Channel for a spectacular boat cruise.

The Kazinga Channel is a 32-kilometer natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. It is famous for hosting one of the highest concentrations of hippos in the world. Along the shores, you will see large Nile crocodiles, elephants cooling off, and a variety of bird species, including African fish eagles, pelicans, and kingfishers. This boat safari offers an up-close encounter with wildlife and stunning photographic opportunities.

After the cruise, we return to Buffalo Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
